1985, born Guns n 'Roses Iron Maiden

The group was founded in March 1985 by William Rose, Tracii Guns, Izzy Stradlin ', Ole BEIC and Rob Gardner. The original members came from two groups, LA Guns (then riformatisi) and Hollywood Rose, and it took its name from the combination of these. Came from Hollywood Rose Axl Rose (vocals) and Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar); his childhood friend, and came from LA Guns Tracii Guns (lead guitar), Ole BEIC (bass) and Rob Gardner (drums). They performed for the first time March 26, 1985. Ole
BEIC, originally in the LA Guns, soon left the group and was later replaced by Duff McKagan, who made his debut on April 11 at the local "Radio City" in Anaheim (California). That same month he also left the drummer Rob Gardner, from the same band of origin BEIC, who was replaced for a few dates with a drummer uncredited. Soon after, guitarist Tracii Guns left the group to reform LA Guns together in Gardner, and was replaced by Slash, and in the meantime came the new drummer Steven Adler, Slash and McKagan as coming from the Road Crew. The two new members debuted June 6, 1985 at the "Troubadour" of Hollywood, and the band reaches the set-up so that would take it to success.
After a difficult tour on the way to Seattle (Washington) and two other dates in Oregon, Guns returned to Los Angeles and settled in a small warehouse dubbed "Hellhouse", playing, doing odd jobs (Axl and Slash found work as a tester for smoking cigarettes, consuming hundreds a day) and continuing the concerts in the area. Like other groups who were wandering the premises of Hollywood, Guns were among the first to join the current "sleaze rock".
Tom Zutaut of Geffen Records, amazed from their performance at the "Troubadour," spread around the false news that "they did suck" to have more time and means to write. The band received such an advance of 75,000 dollars from the manager, who, however, discovered that Axl had already promised to sign a contract with the Chrysalis label competitor, provided that the agent who had contacted "had walked naked through Sunset Boulevard. " Zutaut had to remain at the window of his office on Sunset, watching nervously the road for three days before he could close the deal with the group. They became the first manager Alan Niven, who later would help them to record Appetite for Destruction.
Thanks to this contract, Guns autoprodussero In 1986 the EP Live?! * @ Like a Suicide, under the label UZI Suicide, Geffen created by the ad hoc but not officially recognized. In only 10,000 copies circulated, Live!? * @ Like A Suicide looked and the sounds of a live album, but in fact had been recorded in the studio.
